Good and bad thing: Seasons come and go
Written by – JASHAN SINGH PAWAR
It’s Friday night, cold Friday night, I’m not a fan of those fancy drinks that I collect just for the heck of it. After ages, I poured the same old bargain rum I used to have with a close friend back in the salad days. The warm ambient light of my room and the first sip of my second drink rushed me back down memory lane. I am on the right side of my thirties, and I wonder how many seasons life has shown so far and how many more are yet to be seen. No regrets ever and never will be, but sometimes you land up in self-analysis
Stuck on the same chord, wondering why I and what went wrong, I just realized that if something goes wrong, no one is responsible for it but you. It’s easy; believe me, it’s easy. Walk a mile in my shoes, and you will understand my path. Everybody has an opinion; take some or less; it doesn’t really make any difference; we are all in the same boat, and the sea storm is the same for all.
I need to self-assure myself and cut this fact deep into my soul: there is nothing to be worried about when facing the different seasons that life will show. There are autumn and spring, winter and summer, both of which you need to face. Yes, I believe it is worthwhile for you to face it. Blues, the darkest and deepest of blues, show you are worthy. You are unaware of the mystery of life plans, and you can never unravel them. One day you are the wisest human on this planet, and the other day you are as foolish as a fish trying to climb a tree.
Life is a loop, and you are a silly cat chasing your own tail, ending up with nothing. Take a back seat and let life maneuver you through the seasons. Take a back seat, sip your iced rum, and enjoy the view outside the window. I am sure God has given you certain views you need in times of need. What a blissful moment! This is where everything feels right and on point, and it didn’t just happen by chance; I created it by choosing the right viewfinder.
