Little things make you complete.

6:00 am and time is flashing on my phone.
I woke up without any alarm; my body has adapted to wake up without any alarm over the years. I don’t understand people who can sleep late (maybe I envy them 😉 ) After counting my blessings and practicing gratitude, the next thing that I do is to have a look at my wife, who sleeps like a baby. No bomb blasts or trumpets can wake her up easily. Damn! I wish I could sleep like her.
Every morning has a different mood. I try to make sure to choose the right thoughts for the right day. Removing the curtains to have a glance at those lush green tall trees does half the job of having a calm start to the day.
It’s a Sunday morning. Sunday is a luxury, a no-rush day. My roof-top gym is calling me. Gazing at the warm December sun is no less than a drop of rain in a desert. All that coziness only excites me to stay lazy and pampered. But then my Bluetooth speaker automatically played “Eye of the Tiger” from Sylvester Stallone’s Rocky. I believe it’s a sign for me; with a song being played that works out as a pre-workout, nothing could stop me from hitting 50 push-ups in one go.
A good set of push-ups is a mood-up lifter.
The little achievements that we achieve while running our daily errands are mostly neglected.
Our motivation and driving forces are derived from these little things that we achieve regularly.
Let me list some of these little achievements of life that should be celebrated.
1. Cooking for your loved ones: When we unexpectedly cook for our loved ones, it gives us a sense of contentment. When you see your loved ones surprised by these little efforts, this will only fill you with joy.
2. Working out: Any kind of workout gives a sense of achievement in life. Stay consistent and notice the little positive changes you feel within yourself.
3. Sit with yourself. We are mostly occupied with people with different energies around the clock. Try to take a couple of minutes out of your schedule to sit with yourself and save your positive energy. A peaceful moment of solitude is the best soulful act.
“Imagine a cold winter night. You are lying in your cozy blanket all snuggled up, watching your favorite TV show with hot coffee by your bed, listening to the sound of rain falling outside. Embrace the stillness; stay in this moment. These are the greatest blessings a man can experience. Engulf and relish every single second, and count your blessings.”

4. Talk to children: Whenever you meet or get time, try to have a conversation with little kids. Kids have a great imaginary mind that mostly fades away as they enter adulthood. Children have a very interesting outlook that will leave you with a unique sense of fancy.
5. A good book that you can’t put down: When life feels stuck, pick a book of your interest. Every book or piece of writing is destined to reach the right reader. Live every word of the book you read as it transports you from reality to a dreamy world or from dream to reality.
6. Hug someone you love. Don’t complicate your relationships by not expressing your love for your loved one. Hug your loved ones and stay as close to them as you can. Contentment guaranteed.
7. Don’t forget a successful DIY project: The art of creating something out of nothing is immeasurable. Try to work on Do It Yourself projects by creating new stuff out of the old. The sense of accomplishment you experience is soulful.
We are always rushing and complicating our lives by being harsh on ourselves. Life is simple: love dogs and cats, feed them, love your loved ones and most of all, love yourself. The more you are filled with, the more you are capable of giving away. Giving generously is what life is all about. You own nothing; don’t claim the temporary pleasures; and start living with these most ignored little joys of life.
