Its 6 am and the world is still relaxing, you wake up and push yourself hard not to touch your phone, that small glowing window into the world’s never-ending noise. Recently such thoughts are seeded in many of us through those YouTube shorts that preach “don’t use your phone in the first hour,” but the idea runs deeper than advice. It’s all about not drowning in the chaos before you even learn to breathe in peace.
Now the Question is why we are always seeking an escape from the very life that is naturally build around us? The ecosystem we live in has evolved into a machine that breeds on our distraction. Social Media, internet has started to make us feel incomplete, as if something very important is always missing. The internet, while vast and wondrous, has quietly woven a net around our minds, a net of constant comparison and restless seeking.
We chase satisfaction like a mirage in the desert, the closer we get, the farther it seems. What we’re truly missing is a settled state of mind.
And on some blessed days, when you accidentally stumble upon it, that quiet, grounded feeling, sooner or later the essence of that bliss as well fades away. That’s the tragedy of life, but also its poetry. To feel full, you must first experience emptiness. To feel rich, you must first know what it means to have nothing.
The day you realize that the validation you keep seeking outside is quietly dimming your inner spark, you’ll understand that settlement is not something to be found, it’s something to be cultivated.
Settlement is a beautiful, blissful state of mind, a soft corner of peace within the chaos. It is entirely in your hands. As you move through life, you must create a sacred contract with yourself:
that it is not necessary to have everything you wish for,
It is not important to seek the constant companionship of your loved ones,
and that it’s okay to simply be.
The more you chase worldly attachments, the more they multiply, feeding on your longing and leaving you hollow. A settled mind is not a destination you arrive at; it’s a rhythm you learn to dance to, slowly and imperfectly.
The Secret to the settle state of mind is to sign a contract with yourself to embrace peace, to believe that the universe has already served you the best portion of what you deserve. Once you have done this, you gift yourself the rarest state of all: contentment.
That’s when settlement blossoms quietly within you,
not as a thunderstorm of joy,
but as a soft sunrise in your soul.
